The talk covers managing that application complexity: tuning latency through antenna and transmission settings while working within regulatory requirements, and what those lessons from telecommunications engineering mean for Kubernetes deployments in general.\nIt shows how cloud-native tooling (Helm, FluxCD and Kubernetes operators) tames the operational complexity of running 4G and 5G network functions on commodity clusters.\nLinks Session page on Sched Slides (PDF) ","date":"2026-03-26T09:00:00-05:00","image":"/p/kubecon-eu-2026-from-chaos-to-control/cover.png","permalink":"/p/kubecon-eu-2026-from-chaos-to-control/","title":"From Chaos to Control: managing apps on private cellular networks"},{"content":"I was a guest speaker at La Hora de Kubernetes, an online community meetup in Spanish, on 11 September 2025.\nTalk: Beneficios de usar FluxCD para reconciliar aplicaciones de redes celulares en Kubernetes Idea: practical GitOps. The cluster did not behave as expected and I did not know which resources to create or how to structure a Helm chart. I turned that into a learning mission, and the certifications gave me a clear mental map of Kubernetes.\nA few of the 20 recommendations from the article:\nDo not follow anyone\u0026rsquo;s study method blindly. Each person learns differently. Master the Linux command line. It saves time in the exam. Use the Kubernetes documentation and CLI help. Many questions are inspired by them. Build your own labs and use mock exams, and work on real projects alongside the study. Failing once or twice is fine. Reflect, study and retake it. Teach what you have learned, because it reinforces your knowledge. Read the full article on Medium.
